Day Seventy-One Photos, Part V

I stopped lots of times on this descent, so I took many pictures.

This was a typical dusty switchback on the way down to the Central Valley.

Looking back at a near wipe-out: first the tires got squirrely in the sand, then I put my feet down.

I think this was a manzanita bush.

I finally reached the bottom and looked back.

This was another look back after I finally reached blacktop. That little black spot down the road was a dog, the Central Valley cyclist's welcome committee. This was very close to the orchard  where two people were killed just two days later.

There were many Hispanic businesses in the town of Lamont. I wondered why it didn't say " panaderia carniceria y mercado."
