Snyder Photos, Part III

Although some of the Beacon's " 50's splendor" was nothing more than faux nostalgia, the bathroom tiles were authentic.

This picture, taken on Sunday after the storm had passed, shows the Beacon Lodge's interior park.

The Beacon Lodge Motel tower looked great in daylight, but I was disappointed that it was illuminated  only by spotlights after dark. There was no neon, and there was no beacon-like light at the top.

This Phillips station looked like it was frozen in time, complete with older-style pumps and a full service island beneath the flying vee canopy.

Is this heaven? Close. It's Trailertopia!

I spotted the familiar Mobil pegasus atop this tank.

Looking for the next gusher...
